hasta la victoria siempre

i believe humans like our sense of ownership and identity, we like to believe that we are the most important of Gods creations, that to a point, its true. For example, nike id, puma's mongolian barbecue, and for the people that do not know what those are is a way to personalize everything that you wear, from your shoes to the headband you wear. So as part of my identity finding time i was thinking that if one piece of clothing could say a little bit about me what would it be?, if 50 years after i die they were to display a piece of clothing that was worn by Saul Santos what would it be and what would it represent. So as part of my awesome, relaxing, party less weekend i decided to make a piece of clothing that would say a little bit about me. Number one, it had to be a long sleeve because winter season, number two, it had to be a neutral color, because i am still trying to find myself, so i chose gray, and then i was only allowed to use the resources i could find in my room, just like a cd i made for a good friend, anyhow so i found some thread, and to my luck i had green, yellow and red, my rastafarian colors, i don't really know the deeper philosophies of my rastafarian brothers but i really identify myself with the energy they send, (could be the pot they smoke ha ha) and then i found my permanent markers so i decided to draw the symbol of standing for something, a red star, that is what a red star reminds ME of, standing for something just like the way che wore it, hasta la victoria siempre, so it is my way of to victory always!! so 50 years after my death when people see this piece of clothing displayed the label will say, worn by saul santos in his early 20, during a time of soul searching and a time where he was developing his ideals, the green, yellow and read colors combined with the red star represent To victory always in a peaceful brotherly way.

You are amazing and talented! I like the bookshelf and bench in your room, and I think you are brilliant. I also think that you don't appreciate yourself. I am thankful to know you.
